POWERTOOL DRAG RACE
July 4th
1pm-5pm
Take a power tool, say a circular saw,
and attach rollerblade wheels to it
and you have a power tool drag racer!
Of course it is a little harder to make one
and a lot safer than it sounds.
Competitors race their creations in 12" wide
plywood troughs behind barriers and all that...
but the event is still bizarre, humours and very creative!

In anticipation of the upcoming Powertool Drag Race on July 4th, John Wilson (mad-scientist) will hold a clinic at The Wilson Hughes Gallery Studios on Campbell Avenue for anyone interested in modifying a powertool into a powertool racer. John will have examples on hand and will discuss the ins and outs of modifying powertools into hot rod racing machines. This clinic will include hands on demonstration, history of the sport, and fun!
