Window Restoration College October 2-4, Roanoke VA

Save the Date!
October 2-4th
8am-5pm
Presented by the Architectural Review Board with training provided by Bob Yapp, noted author and historic preservation planning consultant, the Old Window Restoration College is an intense, hands-on workshop where participants will learn the cost-effective rehab of original double-hung wooden windows.

Instruction includes safe paint and glass removal, application of glazing putty, epoxy repair, weather stripping, and sash installation.

Wooden windows are an important feature of many older buildings, and preserving them is actually ‘greener’ than replacing them.

This college offers an opportunity for both learning and helping to save original windows in a historic, residential, or commercial property.

When: Friday - Sunday, October 2-4, 2009,
Time: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Location: a residence on Day Avenue (to be announced)
Fee: $125 (includes materials and lunches).

Deadline to register is Tuesday, Sept. 18!

Large Religious Stained Glass Panels

a while back, we salvaged multiple stained glass panels
from an artisan that specialized in restoration and had since retired.
many of these panels were waiting to be assembled, so we asked
our vendor SER Art to piece them together - what a result!

shelly was able to recreate three large
stained glass panels - all with biblical themes.

great vibrant jewel tones

with painted figures

the details and facial expressions are incredible

to see all three panels, visit our EBAY Store
or come see us in person
