Wounded Warrior Update

If you've been to our shop in the last year, you'll notice a Wounded Warrior collection jar at our front desk.  Many thanks to everyone who has donated to help our friend, Reese.  For some background, click HERE.

We wanted to share a recent message from Reese's mom, Renee':

Dear Mike,
I cannot express enough gratitude to you and yours, your customers and all
the well-wishers for the kindness and generosity directed towards Reese's
behalf. The journey to recovery has been  long and arduous for Reese, but
the love and prayers sent his way have eased the path a hundred-fold.
Reese arrived at Walter Reed on April 16, 2011 and he remains assigned there
until all of his surgeries are completed. He is scheduled for another
surgery in the morning. In fact, he has had so many surgical procedures, I
have simply lost count of them all. Each procedure brings him closer to the
end of his recovery, so despite it all, he remains grateful to continue the
healing process. He endures it all with amazing fortitude, gratitude and
strength of spirit! I know he worries more about the remaining EOD personnel
in Afghanistan than he does about his own situation!
Reese has recently been invited to speak at a gathering of NCO's about his
experiences in Afghanistan, his injuries and his recovery at Walter Reed. He
feels an obligation to share his knowledge and tell his story in the hopes
that others may benefit and gain an understanding of the life of a wounded
warrior in recovery. He knows that life simply changed direction and indeed,
anything can be endured with a forward looking attitude. He has never once
asked why did this happen to me! Reese has truly embraced life and all that
it has to offer with a loving spirit that amazes me and inspires me on a
daily basis.
He is looking forward to Christmas and the New Year with the expectation
that he will be able to spend some time with his two sons. He loves them
dearly and misses them terribly.
I want to thank you again for all of the well wishes!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!
With warmest regards,
Renee'
