The Vic Thomas Park and bridge to Wasena Park are officially OPEN!

map credit: The Roanoke Times

There was a great turnout at today's ribbon cutting ceremony for the Vic Thomas Park and bridge to Wasena Park! We are thrilled that folks can now easily hop, skip and jump over to Black Dog Salvage easily from the Roanoke Greenway!

Mayor Bowers and the family of Vic Thomas were on hand to cut the ribbon.

Many thanks to the Grandin Village Business Association for providing the refreshments!

We had a great assortment of treats:
Grace's Place Pizza
Grandin Theatre Popcorn
Local Roots Restaurant - Cucumber Sandwiches & Tomato Soup
Roanoke Natural Foods Co-op Bananas
7-Eleven Brownies
Viva La Cupcake - Cupcakes!
and a clawfoot tub full of water from Black Dog Salvage!

Grab your bike, put on your walking/running shoes or lace up your rollerblades and head on over! Be sure to bring your four-legged friends with you, we'll have water waiting! We look forward to seeing you :)
