The Vic Thomas Park and bridge to Wasena Park are officially OPEN!

map credit: The Roanoke Times

There was a great turnout at today's ribbon cutting ceremony for the Vic Thomas Park and bridge to Wasena Park! We are thrilled that folks can now easily hop, skip and jump over to Black Dog Salvage easily from the Roanoke Greenway!

Mayor Bowers and the family of Vic Thomas were on hand to cut the ribbon.

Many thanks to the Grandin Village Business Association for providing the refreshments!

We had a great assortment of treats:
Grace's Place Pizza
Grandin Theatre Popcorn
Local Roots Restaurant - Cucumber Sandwiches & Tomato Soup
Roanoke Natural Foods Co-op Bananas
7-Eleven Brownies
Viva La Cupcake - Cupcakes!
and a clawfoot tub full of water from Black Dog Salvage!

Grab your bike, put on your walking/running shoes or lace up your rollerblades and head on over! Be sure to bring your four-legged friends with you, we'll have water waiting! We look forward to seeing you :)

Welcome Artfull Expressions to the Marketplace!

If you have visited the Roanoke City Market, then you'll likely recognize these friendly faces. Deborah and Rupert Saunders have been vendors on the market for the last 16 years, creating handmade jewelry, purses, walking sticks, decorative mirrors and birdhouses.

We are thrilled that they have expanded their business with their new booth, Artfull Expressions. Don't worry, you can still find them on the market!

Stop by to see a wide selection of hand painted mirrors, purses, decorative boxes and birdhouses.
